Justification and impact if rule is not changed |
Cattle classes are a huge expense for shows. The only way for shows to be able to continue to offer these classes is to increase entry participation. Because of the limited number of mules and donkeys available to participate, animals need to be allowed to run multiple times as individual “teams”.
Each “Team” should constitute a new entry. This allows single members to form teams even if they don’t have a partner at the show with them. This also allows for many more entries in the class since each mule can run multiple times as long as they have a new partner.
Each “Team” is only allowed one entry. The same two mules/donkeys cannot compete together as a team more than once.
Also, the rule stating there will be three divisions is confusing. If there were enough entries you could have a JR, SR, Amateur, SIlver Amateur, Novice Amateur and Youth Mule Division as well as Open and Youth Donkey Divisions. There is no reason to limit the number of divisions. |
